Rookie is a graduate of McGill University, with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
Before leaving her native Canada, Rookie worked as a self-employed Consulting Engineer, specializing in Project Management and Logistics.
In 1990 Rookie moved to Los Angeles for a career in Stand-Up Comedy. In 1996 Rookie started, ran, and taught the Stand-Up Comedy School at the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, CA. She performed and taught stand-up comedy & improv, and produced stand-up comedy shows for 8 years.
From 1993 to 2001 Rookie was the founder and administrator of a non-profit organization, 'A Message Home', providing Christmas video filming services for residents of local homeless, battered women, and recovery shelters.
Rookie is also a very proud brand new US citizen!
